Forgive the lack of photos - we were distracted!

Inn in Greensburg, PA, where we (DHA/Clan MacTavish) had one of the largest tables.

After a very early morning on Saturday, we experienced much interest at our tent. However, things went awry when we were told that we could not march in the parade of clans, ONE HOUR BEFORE THE BEGINNING OF THE PARADE! The reason we were given:   Steven MacTavish/Clan MacTavish USA.

In a nutshell:

Nothing was said to us prior to the Coordinator for Clan Societies, Richard Wonderly coming up to us an hour before the "Welcoming Ceremonies and Parade Clan." Wonderly informed us that he was sorry that the committee would not let us march because, Steven MacTavish/Clan MacTavish USA protested. Also, Wonderly stated that Steven MacTavish had a, "...personal friend on the committee..." And that even though he had tried all morning to change their minds there was nothing he (Wonderly) could do. (We discovered a few days later that Wonderly’s protestations of innocence were all a scam.)

Therefore, in front of all the clans and societies, our guests from out of state, family, friends, and new members who had just joined up that day, we were kept from marching in the parade and celebrating our Scottish heritage – always a highlight for clan tent workers.

The discrimination that we suffered has led us to take action and DHA has retained an attorney to represent us in this matter.

What should have been a wonderful weekend in the Pennsylvania mountains ran awry in the end.

Tom and Mary Thompson drove all the way from TN to help us (David and Lynne Thompson) set up and host our first tent. Our dear friends, David and Lori Kendrick of the clan MacNaughten, came up from south﷓western VA to help out. Our sister-in-law Melissa George (Darnley) came as well to the event.

Friday, we had a nice Scottish dinner which included Musical entertainment at the Mountain View
